When it comes to choosing the right type of stove for your home, you may become baffled by the sheer number of appliances and different fuel options available today. This is why we are always happy to discuss your heating requirements with you before you make a final decision. We want our customers to be totally satisfied with their choice of stove and we are confident that our range of multi fuel stoves will do just that.
Multi fuel stoves are appliances that are capable of burning a variety of materials other than just wood. Apart from logs, a multi fuel stove can burn smokeless fuels, anthracite and peat or turf briquettes. The actual design of our multi fuel stoves has been optimised to accept a greater number of types of fuel and to burn them as effectively as possible. Multi fuel appliances typically have a raised grate with moving bars or a central grate and ashpan. These options allow the burning fuel to shed the ash as the fuel burns to maintain effective combustion conditions. The ash is allowed to drop and collect in the ashpan below the grate ready for safe removal when it has cooled.
Many of our latest multi fuel stoves incorporate a system that aids the removal of spent ash in a quicker and cleaner way from an external ashpan. Some also have a primary air inlet which introduces air from beneath the stove grate. Both these features offer the user more efficient combustion of the heating medium in your new multi fuel stove.
The actual heat output of a multi fuel stove will often be similar, maybe even identical to that of a wood burning stove. What you can be assured of is that they are very efficient methods of heating. Running our multi fuel stoves is easier and so cost effective, so you can enjoy even greater enjoyment from the stove and the heat it generates. The warming ambience it will give you simply cannot be emphasised enough!
The great thing about a multi fuel stove is the sheer convenience it gives you. Our multi fuel stoves can burn a wide range of approved fuels, you will be able to choose from a greater number of suppliers and therefore select the nearest and most convenient to you. This is particularly useful as it will help to reduce the amount you spend on your fuel and also cut down on the time and money you will need to transport it to your home.
In terms of efficiency, your multi fuel stove will heat up quicker and produce far more heat than damp or unseasoned wood in a wood burner. The most efficient and environmentally friendly humidity for logs is under twenty percent whilst newly cut logs can be as high as sixty percent.
